The focus of Online Communications
The degree course unites four different specialisation fields: online marketing, online PR, digital learning and sustainability communications.
Online Marketing
As a graduate of Online Communications you will be prepared to pursue careers in a variety of positions within the field of online marketing. For example Graduates will be able to work on the analysis of user behavior, come up with concepts for social- and cross-media marketing, optimize content for search engines and develop e-commerce-offers.
Strategic Communications/PR
The digital communication strategy includes communication with different stakeholders of organisations, i.e. employees, customers, media or politics. The tasks include, for example, the conception and maintenance of websites, apps and social media channels. Within the the content strategy, messages are developed that are prepared in formats such as texts, images, videos, or audio. The basis for this is a precise understanding of the stakeholders, their expectations and customer journeys.
Digital Learning
In the field of digital learning, graduates of online communications are developing and realizing concepts for online supported advanced training and professional training. These concepts may involve online tools, e-learning offers, workshops or other formats for supporting life long learning.
Sustainability Communications
Sustainability communications focuses on strategic digital communications about different sustainability issues. Online Communications graduates obtain knowledge in sustainablility and climate research as well as campaigning and other sustainability communication strategies. Graduates may pursue careers in business, public administration or nonprofit organisations.
